Colonial Addition

& Renovation

 

A two story addition on the back of this center hall colonial home created a new, enlarged kitchen and great room which opens to a new outdoor patio with four sliding doors. A new mudroom behind the garage connects the addition to the garage. We deliberately designed three separately roofed forms so the massing of the new structures retain a human, attractive scale that don't overwhelm the back of the home.

 

The second floor bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry room and closets all became more spacious and comfortable for this growing young family.
